John's Dogs
When I was in rehab, John Corlew’s tiny, bird-like wife would bring these giant creatures to visit him. You cannot imagine how soft their coat is. I have never known a man to love a dog as much as these beautiful creatures loved John Corlew.
The oil painting on the wall was across from the door to my room. It was one of the last things Edwina Goodman ever painted.
This is a very short story about the beauty and history of Mississippi politics.
